A Personal Request
I give to particular charities as much as I can and as often as possible. However, I’ve never actively sought sponsorship from others before.
CHSS is a charity close to my heart. Many of my family members have suffered strokes, heart attacks and heart disease and I’ve no doubt many of my couples and fellow suppliers can relate to this. With this in mind a friend suggested abseiling off the Forth Rail Bridge in October to raise funds for the charity!
In order to participate however, I must raise £175 or I’ll be denied doing it. Please consider donating. My fundraising page can be accessed here. It’s really simple to donate – no amount is too small (or too large!).
Surely it’ll be worth it to see the Facebook and Instagram posts of my terrified face?
I’ll be eternally grateful.
The Atholl Palace Hotel has had somewhat of a facelift over the winter. It’s looking even more beautiful (who knew that was possible).
Please enjoy these photographs from a recent wedding. Due to some heavy snow showers it wasn’t possible to stay outdoors for any photographs. This didn’t stop the couple’s enjoyment of their day though. When you pick a great venue it doesn’t matter what the great Scottish weather throws at you!
It’s been such a long time since I posted any photos on my blog. 2014 was an incredibly busy year for Amanda Gard Photography but 2015 already looks to be surpassing it. If you are still booking I’ve only got a couple of dates left for late summer. Still some last minute and late Autumn weekends available though. 2016 is booking up fast for May and July so if you are looking to these months please enquire as soon as possible.
Just last week I booked in a wedding for this April! I love a last-minute booking but it must be so stressful for the couple? Since last minute weddings are on the rise (for me at least), I’m putting together a supplier’s list for my website. Hopefully that should help all couples planning their wedding in the Perthshire area. It’ll be online shortly.
Lastly, I’m aware I’ve not updated my blog with photographs for a while so will be putting lots on in a mo!
Hope 2015 is being kind to you all.
AGP is closing from Sunday 21st December to Tuesday 6th January. Emails will be answered shortly thereafter.
Please have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. I look forward to seeing you all in 2015.
Ok, I am in my new house. Unfortunately my desk for my office won’t be delivered until 2nd September and Broadband won’t be connected until the 8th (was NOT expecting it to take THAT long!). So I’m working at my kitchen table and will have all outstanding weddings finished and ready to upload as soon as the router lights turn green!
In the meantime, I can answer emails on my phone. Huge apologies for this inconvenience.
A little reminder that I am moving house and will have access to emails but no access to my blog, social networking or galleries until broadband is re-established.
If you are looking for me please email as all telephone numbers are changing and please don’t post anything until you hear from me. Hopefully back on line by early September!
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I last posted to my blog. It’s been a very busy and productive year.
I’ve had some amazing new venues, fantastic couples and a huge amount of fun but I’ve not had nearly enough time to spend on meetings, designing and editing or admin! All that is about to change!
From 1st September I’ll have a completely new brochure for new couples to choose from. I’ll be offering new services and products and will have a shiny new office in my nice new home.
I’m looking forward to meeting couples old and new there and finally getting to show some photographs off on my walls!
To kick off there will be a competition (or two) so don’t forget to like my Facebook Page (click the link on the bottom of this page) or Instagram account as this is where I’ll launch them from!
Winter wedding photography can be a scary prospect if you aren’t 100% confident in you training and abilities. There are a few times where I’ve known the venue to be so dark it would be impossible for me to produce the kind of light and bright photography I’m known for, but the Huntingtower Hotel in Perth represents no such problem! As you can see from the below photographs, T & W’s wedding here in early February was mostly in-doors but the hotel still offered great photographic opportunities. As the Huntingtower Hotel is local to me I’m very privileged to be there quite a few times this year and can’t wait to photograph more weddings in-doors and out in their beautiful gardens.

Happy New Year! I know, I’m a bit late in the day but it’s been the busiest January EVER for bookings. And they are still coming in! Thank you to all my new couples for choosing me to photograph your wedding. It’s always a great honour.
2014 hasn’t many summer dates left though I do have a lot of mid-week weddings June and July which has never happened before. Weddings are ranging from just the couple to over 230 guests. I’ve also only a few local Blairgowrie weddings, spending most dates in Perth or Pitlochry. I’m as far North as Inverness and as far South as Newcastle…. So far!
It’s going to be an exciting year for Amanda Gard Photography! Can’t wait!
I will be out of touch from now until Monday 6th Jan. All emails will be answered shortly thereafter. Those meetings scheduled for the holiday period are still in my diary! After the holidays I’ll be updating my brochure and website and getting ready for my first wedding of the year on 31st Jan.
As you may know, I only do one wedding per weekend so if you are still looking for a photographer please get in touch soon as 2014 is very nearly full.
Have a fab Christmas and a Happy New Year!! X
