I’d like to help you get to know me better so here’s a rather speedy history of my photographic career!
I got my first camera at 7 years old and broke it the same day! I mastered the art of cello-taping and quickly became totally obsessed with all things photography. At 9 I wanted to follow a family friend into the Navy, at 14 I found out I could be a photographer in the Navy and at 19 I actually enlisted! With a fight to be released from the branch I was in I eventually did my training at RAF Cosford – the base where the Joint School of Photography is located, and became a fully fledged Royal Navy Photographer.
After over 10 years service I left to have my babies and started photographing my friends’ children, not wanting to waste my training or talent. This quickly grew to include wedding photography and commercial work. Weddings really are my favourite subject.
I have gained my Licentiate in Wedding Photography from the British Institute for Professional Photography (BIPP), the Master Photographers Association (MPA) and also the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP). And although currently I am only a member of the SWPP 2012 will see me working towards my Associate level. I believe in training, qualifications and requesting regular critiques from my peers.
I am honest, reliable, flexible and friendly – I will do all I can to ensure your wedding photography turns out exactly as you envisaged.
